Rexmas Ride 09
Every Rexmas I try to make a ride to the ocean, then down the coast a ways before heading back into the city. This year it was 35F degrees when I woke up, so I wasn’t about to even try to ride until it warmed up. I waited a few hours until it finally broke 50F and then headed out. The great thing about Los Angeles during this holiday is that much of its transplant population leaves town. So there’s not really any traffic. A few cars here or there, but it’s usually pretty quiet. This morning was no different. Santa Monica was the busiest area I passed through, even LAX was pretty dead. All said and done, I ended up riding around 65 miles.
