DFW Trip: Thanksgiving
I’m not really a fan of hanging out with other people’s families on Thanksgiving. I just feel so out of place. And that’s sort of how this Thanksgiving went down as well. You just sit through the evening feeling out of place, watching the family dynamic of some strange family, except more up close than watching the same people buy coffee at Starbucks. Anything you say or do seems to be judged, so I just tried to move and say as little as possible.
It was good to spend Thanksgiving somewhere though, and the corn casserole was worth the uncomfortable setting, as was the green bean casserole.
So this Thanksgiving I’m thankful that I know some good people in Texas, because it means I don’t have to completely write off the state.
