DFW Trip: Tuesday

Started out the day the usual lazy way, but then I helped Brian clean a cheerleading academy called Cheer Athletics. They must be pretty amazing at what they do as I’ve not seen more trophies in one room. I did a couple flips then started vacuuming all their carpets in the gym. It’s odd walking, pushing a large vacuum, across a spring loaded floor. When you walk outside onto concrete you sort of feel like you’re stepping too hard. It’s insane the amount of dead skin I vacuumed up from the floors. They were actually blue again when I was done. Just look at the size of this place.

On the way back from cleaning this place, we saw a fire on the freeway. Well we saw it on the way, and sort of figured it’d be out by the time we came back through as it looked like they hand a handle on it. But by the time we came back through over two hours later, it had obviously gotten away from them. It made for some nice looky-loo traffic though.

I was also introduced to Sonic’s drinks today. I’ve had their food before, on a trip through Wyoming a few years back, and wasn’t impressed. But their drinks are pretty good. So I ended up having a Cherry Limeaid on the way to clean, and a Grape Cream ice something or other on the way home. The grape thingy tasted like a grape creamsicle. I’m sure I’ll have to try their orange version of that drink before I leave town. We have only ads in LA, no Sonics.
