Wildfire

Still getting amazing views of the smoke. It was a little less smokey today, even though the forecast called for it. They are claiming over 100,000 acres burned so far, and the Angeles National Forest is only about 600,000 acres total. So that’s a pretty big chunk, and still only 5% contained. Not looking good.

Heard they were evacuating horses as far from this far as Rancho in Burbank. For those of you roughly familiar with the area, this is where the horses are that are used in film and tv, as well as those you can rent and ride for an hour or two through Griffith Park. I’m not sure where they are moving them to, but the air quality has gotten that bad in the Valley, so I’m glad I didn’t ride over for my bagel this morning.
