Where’s your car, dude?

Four people stranded after a night out drinking. Perhaps this is my greatest enjoyment out of the Junction weekend. Early on Saturday morning they bring a fleet of trucks in and start towing away any cars still on the street in preparation for the setup of the event. And without fail, every year someone doesn’t pay attention to the signs all up and down the street.
This year they’ve made the sign extremely easy to understand by saying no parking all day Saturday and Sunday. Last year they were a little more confusing by saying no parking from midnight on Saturday to midnight on Monday. Well, of course people were probably not thinking that midnight on Saturday is one minute after 11:59 pm on Friday, so the city plucked a lot of cars last year. This year, not so much.
So where’s their car? Well it’s one of the three pictured below. All three of those cars were towed. And all three of those cars’ owners weren’t happy about it.

From what I understand though, when you call 311 to inquire about your car, they’ll let you pick it up without having to pay impound fees or fines. At least that’s what I was told about last year’s tows. But of course this is only if you pick it up within a few hours. Guess that’s not enough time to sober up before showing up to the impound lot.
