Udon

Udon hit the spot.
Even though it’s technically summer here, I’ve got some sort of sinus infection or cold. So I’ve been pretty miserable, and while I’d probably not normally eat soup when it’s 80F outside, last night it just needed to happen. So I got to work.
It’s pretty simple, Udon, fish stock, mixed veggies, and of course my favorite ingredient in everything, garlic. I wish I’d had some grilled tofu pouches to throw in there, or some fish cakes, but I made do with what I had available at the time.
By the time I was done my sinuses had started to drain, which I know is a pleasant thing to talk about when talking about food, but really it was a good thing. It was also fun to eat Udon with chopsticks again as it’s been awhile. Forgot how out of practice I am with that. Sushi, sure, noodles are a little bit more of a challenge, but completely doable.
