I cut myself today
Completely on accident, but I still feel. I focused on the pain, and cleaned my wounds. Then I added some nice layers of ointment to them. Then I dug out my bandages. I decided to try a different company than the one everyone thinks of, I went with Nexcare. I almost cut myself trying to shimmy open their custom plastic packaging. I guess I should write them about that. Don’t make a sharp edged container for adhesive bandages.
So I bandaged up all seven or more cuts to my left hand. And it looks like some sort horror film after I’m done.

May is just bad for Rex.
After posting it online it seemed that I got placed on some sort of suicide watch by friends and family. It was a completely accidental thing. I tripped while carrying laundry into my apartment, and instead of letting the laundry fall, I caught myself in a strange way with the new counter-top that was installed on Saturday. Well the edge is pretty sharp, combine that with the weight of all that laundry, and it cut me up pretty bad. I’ve been told I should sue.
After all that, I realized there are three bandage lines packed into my Nexcare package. The bandages that seemed to be the best are the Active Bandages. I must say that I’m impressed with this particular line, so when I refill on adhesive bandages, I’ll search for only Nexcare’s Active Bandages line. No more multi-packs.
By the way, if you found your way here because of Nexcare, note that their Comfort Bandages are indeed like suede leather, but they don’t stick for shit. The adhesive is weaker I’d guess so that they are more comfortable when removing, but they just fall off at the first sign of flexing the body part, sweat, or moisture of any kind. And that’s just a bad thing. I’d never put those on kids, but I must say they are much better than Band-Aid brand so far. I replaced the Comfort Bandages that fell off with more Active Bandages. No painful hair pulls, even on Neanderthal fingers like I have.
These Active Bandages are pretty amazing so far. They flex, they keep out water, and they seem to be developing the same lines as the skin they are covering after much use. I’m impressed. And they also don’t hurt when you remove them. If I do write them a praise letter I’d suggest they rename them to Action Bandages. I’ve had flexible bandages in the past, and those just fall off when used on fingers. But these really do work. And since something is trying to kill me, it’s nice to have bandages that work.

Water can't get in. Neither can pickle juice, V8, beer, butter, and other things I've had this hand in.
I still have that old familiar sting. And that itch as scabs form. But I’m sure that’ll go away in a few days.

Turn it into a fashion statement. Wear them all the time and see how long it takes until others copy it.
