110 at 105

As mentioned on Sunday, or Monday, or whenver I wrote about it this week, I had a quick stop at the 110 where it meets the 105. I just wanted a photo of the monstrosity that is that freeway junction.

This is what happens when you have separate ramps for the carpool lanes and try to intersect two freeways. There are lanes flying off everywhere. And above me in the shot is the 105 freeway and the MTA’s Green Line light rail. Below me is the 110, and a bus stop (on the freeway). It’s just a transit nightmare, and just one of many in Los Angeles.

If you look closely you can even see the mountains off in the distance.
