Canned Trout Fillets

I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. I was very aprehensive about trying them, but what the hell? Here lately it’s seemed extremely difficult to find quality fresh fish in the local stores, and I’ve even been to a fish market. I’m just not impressed with the selection presented over the past month. And well, it’s sort of crucial to my new way of eating. So I’ve really been craving fish. And while I cannot stand frozen fish, I figured I’d try a different canned product from the norm (which is tuna). And that’s how I ended up trying Trader Joe’s Canned Trout Fillets.

It’s sort of like canned tuna, except delicious. Combine that with a roasted onion and salad, and it was a light dinner to follow that huge lunch I had at Phileppe’s. By the way, if you ever get a chance to try their French Dip, try the lamb. It’s amazing.
